Chichen Itza
Chichen Itza is an ancient Mayan temple. It was amazing to see in person, but the ruins nearby (especially where they did the human sacrifices) were just as cool. It took a few hours on the bus, but was worth it!
Tulum / Tulum Ruins
Tulum is a great city if you want to have fun outside the resort. It's about an hour away, so you'll need to plan accordingly. There are more ruins there, which were fun to walk through.
Cenotes
This part of Mexico is full of cenotes, or underground caves. Most of the cenotes we visited, we swam through. Check out the tours at the resort for options.
